I redid the eyes on GWAC so her pupils would be larger and she would look a little less startled, what do you think?

Susan Fosnot Dolly I made.
Well, I love this pattern. I have a couple other of Susan's dolls I am dying to make also. This one I tried to keep as close to her original as possible except didn't oil paint and changed to articulated fingers.
I love the vintage feel of her so decided to draw on her little curl. Her pattern is Girl With A Curl.
You can find her website by clicking on the photo of her dolls to the right.

"Cupie" is done & original soft sculpt Sophie now done!
Well, I finished "Cupie." I also am working on a little soft sculpt for fun and to work with ss fabric again. Ugh. So rusty at fully sculpting a face and a little character appeared.

"Cupie"
Well, "Cupie" is just waiting for her face. I gave her the blue wings in Judi's pattern like the Rosie O'Neill Kewpie's. I wasn's sure about the tufts of hair on the sides and back but they turned out cute I think.
I hope her face will be cute. Or he??
I worked most of the day on an original soft sculpt pattern I am trying to make a certain size. I haven't done a soft sculpt (doll skin fabric) in so long I had to keep trashing all my attempts. Sigh, maybe soon I will figure it out.
Hugs,

Cupie
I think I have a new Fave Judi W. pattern! I love Cupie! I did this one with the stretch horizontal to get a nice fat little one. I have to paint still but had to show how darn cute this little pattern is! I am chuffed with this little one. : )

Sneak peek of jointed baby
Hi, Well, I have had fun making Judi's Dahnia and now Darby. I took some quick pics, had taken better ones, but camera acted up so these are just some fast ones. I have to paint his face of course but love how the jointing works!
Judi is amazing with proportion. Love this pattern.
I'll post finished pics when I get him done. I am thinking of entering him in the baby doll studio challenge at CDA. I have to dig out some Christmas props to do that but would be fun : ) I have a toy in mind just don't have all the Christmas things easy to get to and not ready to dig out all those boxes yet LOL. Maybe I can come up with something.

Update
Well, I am working on Judi Ward's baby multi jointed baby, Darby. I am almost ready to do the final part, paint the face. The joints are a lot of sewing but really worth it as they are really cool and fun. Judi makes it so easy.
I reworked the face of my little girl I made from the Dahnia pattern, what do you think? I think I needed to bring out her features just a little more. Really hard to tell in photo, it's night here and I had to use a flash so I will take better pics when I get a chance. Bottom one is the before photo from prev. post.

Edited to add photo : ) You can see more on my website, link above. I named her Lillybeth. (on ebay:

Boy have I been MIA. I finally have found my way to the sewing machine again. I have a doll almost finished and will show her as soon as she is done. She is a pattern by Judi Ward. I have been wanting to make her forever.
I have had a full plate these last months and I know so many of us do and sometimes lose our creative focus. Well, that has been me. I have been missing making dolls and seeing what everyone is doing but hopefully, I am back for a while now.
I am grateful to hear Connie McBride is doing well after her battle with cancer. Go Connie!
Beautiful newsletter by Kat Lees came out today over at CDA. Such a great site and resource!!! So many beautiful dolls, talented artists to visit.
Well, will show my new dolly soon. Have to paint her face and wig her and she will be done. Hope to do that today.
Have a great weekend! I am grateful for fall weather.
